Making a Hanging Flower as a Door Decoration

Hi everyone,

Recently, I made a hanging flower to decorate my door, and I’m excited to share how I created it. It’s similar to origami but not exactly the same. It was a fun project, and the result looks amazing!

Materials I Used

• Colored paper (bright colors for the flower)

• Thread or string (to hang the flower)

• Scissors

• Glue

• A pencil (for drawing shapes)

Steps I Followed

• Folding and Cutting the Paper

• I folded the paper a few times to make layers.

• Then, I drew petal shapes on the folded paper and cut them out. This created multiple petals of the same size.

• Assembling the Flower

• I arranged the petals in layers to form the flower.

• I glued each petal carefully, making sure they overlapped a little to create a full, round shape.

• Adding a Hanging String

• I attached a thread to the back of the flower using glue.

• Then, I made a loop at the top of the thread so I could hang it easily.

Why I Loved This Craft

The hanging flower turned out colorful and bright. I enjoyed experimenting with paper folding and designing something unique.
